After Party band performing live in New Orleans
Wedding Bands · New Orleans & Beyond

The wedding band people remember

Two thousand weddings in twenty-five years. Ceremony strings to second-line sendoff, handled by one band, on one timeline, with one contract.

Whole Day, One Band

Don’t settle for anything but the best.

Most couples book a ceremony musician, a cocktail trio, a reception band and a DJ — four vendors, four contracts, four sets of load-in questions. After Party is all of it. High-energy, non-stop, always-current, with lights and sound that make the room look as good as it sounds.

01

Ceremony

Solo piano, string duo or full chamber strings. Processional, recessional and prelude chosen with you.

02

Cocktail hour

Jazz trio playing standards and classic pop while your guests find the bar.

03

Reception

The full band. Seven to twelve pieces, horns up, floor full, bandleader emceeing every cue.

04

Second line & sendoff

Full-band second line with permits, escorts, umbrellas and handkerchiefs handled end to end.

A New Orleans Tradition, Done Right

The second line is not an add-on. It’s a production.

Permits. Police escorts. Route timing with your venue. Umbrellas and handkerchiefs for the whole party. Grand marshal. A brass section that knows the repertoire cold because they grew up playing it.

We have run hundreds of these through the Quarter, the Garden District and the Marigny. You walk out the door and it works.

Wedding FAQ

Everything planners ask us

Yes. We cover the entire day under one contract — solo piano, string duo, trio or full chamber strings for the ceremony, a jazz trio for cocktail hour, and the full band for the reception. One vendor, one timeline, one point of contact.

We handle the whole thing: full-band second line, permits, police escorts, umbrellas and handkerchiefs, and the route coordination with your venue and planner. It is one of the most requested things we do in New Orleans, and we have done hundreds of them.

Our bandleader emcees at no extra cost — introductions, toasts, cake cutting, bouquet toss, sendoff. We work off your planner’s timeline and confirm every name and pronunciation at rehearsal.

Yes. Special-request learns are included — just get us the version you want at least four weeks out so we can chart it properly for the horns.

Our in-house DJ takes over seamlessly. The room never goes quiet from cocktail hour through the sendoff.

A seven piece needs roughly 18' x 12'; the twelve piece with dancers wants 24' x 16'. Two dedicated 20-amp circuits is the standard ask. We send a full production rider to your venue as soon as you book.

Constantly. We have played weddings across the US, the Caribbean and Europe. Destination pricing includes travel, lodging and backline — ask for a full landed quote.
